 Excellent
parks are among the many assets of Vero Beach and Indian River County
that enable residents to make the most of this outdoor paradise. The
county's public beaches have year-round lifeguard protection. The Indian
River County Recreation Department, 772-567-2144, offers a wide variety
of leisure time activities for all ages and interests.
A.W. Young Park
21st Street just east of Indian River Blvd. in Vero Beach: picnic

Charles Park
15th Street and 24th Ave., Vero Beach: an 11 acre city park with walking
and jogging trails, tennis, volleyball, playgrounds, restrooms, and

Round Island Park
